It's official. We have a fabulous four year old. As the kid from Little Einstein's would say, "I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!". (hopefully some of the other Moms will get that). Jackson is everything I pray he will be, plus more. (I don't pray for the emotional outbursts, brother torturing or random name calling but it keeps things interesting, right?). He is a happy, healthy little boy and that is all we can ask for. He loves Grant and while they have their brother moments he is so sweet to him. He even let Grant open some of his birthday presents so Grant would not feel left out. He loves to talk about going to the ranch (JY) and loves to read books with me. He likes to talk about what words sound pa-like (alike). He can usually tell you what letter a word starts with. He naps for at least 2 hours still and sleeps with blankie. He is on the top bunk and loves it. He does not like balloons. He gets stressed they will float away...very random. We went through a phase recently where he was sent to his room a lot for calling people a tee-tee head. He is all boy and would rather be outside than inside. He gets great praise from his teachers for being helpful and kind.
We had his birthday party at Pump it UP. Easiest party ever. Here is the birthday boy and his sidekick before the party. I made their shirts.
I'm not sure why I look so fake smile ish in this picture. Great picture of the boys though.
Before the party the boys had a blast just playing under the tables. Why do we need bounce houses?
Taking little brother down the slide
Dancing.
Pile up.
Grant offering to catch Daddy at the bottom of the slide.
Pure joy.
Group shot....minus a few.
Cake and ice cream. Check out that throne!
We went to Bluebonnet bakery to pick out his cake. I let him look through the book and pick out his favorite. My Mom always bought my birthday cakes from Bluebonnet.
I felt so blessed watching while everyone sang to our sweet boy. He was surrounded by great little friends and family. I am thankful to have so many parents that I can turn to for advice and support.
Evidence of brotherly love...Jackson invited Grant to sit on his throne with him.
It was a great party for a fabulous four year old.
Jackson, we love you from the moon, all the way to Florida, to California, to the Giggly Girls house and back to here. That is a lot.
Love,
Mommy
