Grant turns 2

Well, it happened.  Grant turned 2 and I survived.  We had a wedding the weekend of his birthday so my Mom and Dad kept the boys and gave Grant a birthday weekend.  They went to the circus on Friday night then had cake and presents on Saturday.  The next weekend I threw him a Pirates and Pancakes birthday party.  Grant is talking up a storm.  I can understand what he says about 85% of the time.  He is so cute when he says, "beeeecauuuussse."  He is still my sweet cuddle bear.  He will hug you all day long.  He and Jackson get along great.  Don't get me wrong, they fight like brothers.  But, Grant thinks Jackson is the coolest.  I took Grant in for his 2yr check up.  He is 25 lbs and 34 inches.  That is exactly what Jackson was at 18 months.  He still wears 18 month pants and 2T shirts.  The boys are sleeping in bunk beds and doing great.  G-man is a great little eater.  His favorite book is Chica Chica Boom Boom.  His favorite show is Team Umi Zumi.  He LOVES chocolate milk and dum dums.  He sleeps with a bear, hippo and blankie but I'm not sure if he really needs them.  I think he is ready to be potty trained but I'm not ready for it.  He tries to go anytime Jackson goes.  Saying I love this little guy just doesn't cover it.  He is my sunshine.

This bounce house looked much smaller on the Internet.

The party started at 8:30am.  The Grandparents did an awesome job with the pirate theme. Love!

Its his party and he'll take his shirt off if he wants to

Lets be honest...the sprinkles are really the best part.

Grant decided to camp out at the top of the slide and would not let anyone else go up or down.  What a diva.

I even made baby Garrett a pirate vest.  So sweet.

Pure joy.

So I thought putting candles in his sprinkle covered pancakes would serve as his cake.  No.  So we put candles in this random yellow jelly filled donut Marshall grabbed at the store at 5:45am.  FYI, if you have a party, Pancakes do not count as cake.  Several children including my own were very disappointed there was no cake.  Jackson KEEPS asking me when we are going to have Grant's birthday cake.

Happy Birthday Grant.
Love,
Mommy
