Boys will be boys?

The boys looked so cute in their matching shirts before school yesterday, I had to take some pictures. I wish I had picked a better background than the bed of the truck. Oh well, maybe it helps bring out the blue in their eyes. :)

Marshall and I are realistic when it comes to having 2 little men run around the house. From the beginning we have set the expectations that most of our furniture will probably be damaged/destroyed during the next 15 years. I have seen monster trucks run into the couch, crayon marks on the walls, chairs used as trampolines....the list goes on and on. However, I have been surprised by one thing..... Grant has started chewing on our furniture like a little puppy.
Example 1: Those are teeth marks all along the back of his dining room chair

Example 2: Teeth marks he has left on Jackson's chair

He has also left teeth marks on our leather couches. Is this normal? Sometimes when he gets mad or sleepy he will bite his own hand or the seat belt in the car.
Hopefully this is just another phase......
The boys were playing while I was making dinner a few nights ago. Jackson told me he needed to go potty but he could do it by himself because he is a big boy. Great! About 5 minutes had gone by and it was just too quiet. I walked into the bathroom and found both boys starring down into the toilet. Never a good sign. They had unrolled a brand new roll of toilet paper and put ALL of it into the toilet. They were trying to flush it and for some reason it wasn't working?? After a quick scolding lucky Mommy got to go fishing for all of the tp.
boys will be boys.
Love,
Leah
