Christmas 2009

I am finally posting our Christmas pictures!! I am proud of myself for getting to this before February. I didn't get our Christmas cards mailed out until January so they became Happy New Year cards! We had a wonderful white Christmas. Jackson is starting to understand more about Santa bringing presents....I think.

Christmas Eve morning we went next door to our neighbors house and let the kids bake cookies for Santa. Sophie is about 1 year older than Jackson, they play great together. It was hard to get them to stop eating the dough and put it on the cookie sheet. This is our version of cookies made from scratch. :)
Finally having a baked cookie and watching Dora's Christmas for the 100th time this month. "There's No Swiping On Christmas" (for those of you with toddlers I'm sure you know this song)

The Shepard Home on Christmas Eve. I love it!

This is Jackson all bundled up to go play in the snow with his tractor.

This picture cracks me up. I had him so bundled up he could hardly smile. My little Chunky Monkey. Yes, those are socks on his hands. I could not find his gloves ANYWHERE.

Finally time to put the cookies and milk out for Santa.

This is Marshall trying to explain to Jackson why we can't eat ALL the cookies and we have to leave some for Santa.

Christmas Morning opening gifts.

I think his new cowboy boots were his favorite.

Marshall showing off his new nose and ear hair trimmer. Boy are we getting old. Sweet little Grant slept through the whole thing.

After opening gifts we headed to Weatherford to spend Christmas Day. My family met us out there. We counted 78 stranded cars on the side of the road from the ice/snow storm the night before. In this picture Jackson has a perfectly placed candy cane stuck to his bottom.

We tried to build a snowman but got too cold and went back inside.

Jackson loves his new tool set. Especially the goggles. I'm sure he is watching Dora's Christmas again in this picture.

Love,
Leah
