At least so far. I hadn't planned on potty training him today. I just woke up, saw that we had 3 diapers left and decided today was the day. We went to the store and bought caffeine free dr. Pepper, kool-aide and skittles. Don't judge. I'm not above using sugary drinks and candy to bribe my children. The drinks are to get him to consume as much liquid as possible. You can only drink so much milk.....the skittles are his rewards. We started out going to the potty every 15 mins. No luck. We started out with 3 accidents. I was beginning to lose hope. He decided to take matters in his own hands. He decided to go numbers 1 & 2 for his potty debut!! Since then he has had zero accidents. He did nap in a pull-up and he will sleep in one tonight. But I consider day 1 a huge success.

Love,
Leah

HAHA! Those picture are TOO funny!!! Save the one with the medal for the wedding slideshow =) As someone with a BA in Psychology and after 60 hours of above-masters courses in School Psychology (which basically means I know A LOT about how kids learn) there is NOTHING more encouraging and motivational than POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT (aka bribery)!!!! If anyone tells you otherwise, ask them if they would be more motivated to go to work if they only got punished for missing work and didn't get paid when they did show up. Ask them how long they'd stay at it =) The trick is all in the weaning of the reinforcement...good luck! Miss ya'll!! Love you!!
