July 4th

We had a wonderful July 4th with our families. I am so thankful that both sets of Grandparents are so close to us. We love spending time with them.

We started out the weekend with some backyard playtime. Those are not shorts on Grant. Look how tan he is! He decided to play naked in the sandbox.

Jackson had a little bit of a night cough so we decided to give him a breathing treatment before we went to bed. I'm sure the sunglasses helped.

We headed to the lake Saturday morning. The boys love every minute there except bedtime.

They look so big here....

We took the boat out for a spin. Grant loves to drive.

Love it.

During nap time my Mom taught/helped me sew a romper for Grant. I loved hearing her tell me stories about her Mom and what a wonderful seamstress she was. Mom told me that she would make her own patterns and sew a new dress for all four girls for each Sunday. I can't even imagine.
Here is Grant modeling his romper. I still need to put buttons on it.

Monday morning we headed to Pappy and Granelly's house. Grant loved playing in Malosi's bouncer. All 3 grand kids have spent lots of time in that bouncer. (I made the t-shirt Grant has out....or I sewed the star on.)

Stinker.

We got to spend the day with Malosi!!

Pappy made a yummy frozen blueberry slush. The perfect snack when it is so hot outside. Grant decided it was too hot for even a swimsuit. For some reason both boys love to run around naked at this age.

I love how Grant is looking up to Jackson in this picture. He loves his Jack-Jack.

Grant decided to end the day with some naked pool side fishing. Take a good last look at his crazy hair. I got it cut today and he looks like such a big boy. ;(

Love,

Leah
