Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. I have a feeling as the boys get older things are going to get better and better. We have just a few Christmas traditions...
1. New matching Christmas PJ's on Christmas Eve.
2. The boys get to open 1 gift on Christmas eve.
3. We sing Happy Birthday to Jesus before Christmas lunch/dinner

Pictures in front of the tree on Christmas Eve

Grant wasn't really that interested in opening his gifts. He had more fun trying to take the presents Jackson opened. These days I feel like a constant referee. Grant only wants to play with what Jackson has.

Jackson was really REALLY excited about gifts this year. Too excited. I had a hard time getting him to understand it was Jesus birthday and not Jackson's. He opened this airplane on Christmas Eve.

Daddy hugs before bed.

The next morning Grant finished off the cookies that Santa didn't eat. Then he moved on to the Candy Cane in his stocking. Santa should have only shopped for Grant at the grocery store. :)

The present opening maniac.

The boys got to open their stockings and 1 gift on Christmas morning.....
Jackson's favorite movie during the holidays was Polar Express. We watched it no less that 1,345 times.....exactly. So he was so surprised when there was a note from Santa and one of Santa's sleigh bells in a box under the tree. The note told both boys to continue being on the nice list and there was one more gift for them out in the garage.

Ta Da!

Santa found the perfect size bounce house for the garage. Hopefully this will give the boys lots of exercise on those cold days when we can't play outside.

Unfortunately withing the first 30 minutes Jackson slammed into the garage door and gave himself a huge goose egg on his forehead. Then he bounced face first and gave himself a bloody nose. The Shepard boys are serious bouncers.

Our families came over to our house for Christmas lunch.

Neriah and Jackson had fun jumping while we got lunch ready.

They had their own "kids table" I loved sitting at the kids table growing up.

Of course Marshall and I dressed up in 1980s Christmas gear. Of course.

Morgan, Mom and Dad

Matt, Kelly and Malosi

Pappy and Granelly

Merry Christmas!

Love,
Leah
