Our Baby Boy is 1 year old. I cannot believe it. This was a really hard milestone for me. I wish I could just freeze time and keep Grant as a baby for a little while longer. A few days after his birthday he started walking.....walking! He doesn't want to sit in a stroller anymore. He doesn't take a pacifier anymore (we stopped cold turkey and he never cried nor lost sleep over it). No more bottles. All of these things = no more baby.
He weighs 20 lbs and 6 oz. He is 30 inches tall. He is a tall, skinny boy. We still call him "The Tank" because he can eat like no other. There isn't a food he doesn't like. We call him "G-Man" also. He is Marshall's little sidekick. If Marshall is home, Grant wants to be in his arms. I love it and get a little jealous sometimes. He is an ok sleeper. He wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes but usually will go right back to sleep. He says Da-Da, duck, tractor, dog-dog. He loves to play with Jackson. He is one tough little guy. He wrestles, falls, gets knocked down...all without a cry. I wish Jack would take a lesson in toughness from The Tank.
He is going to Mother's Day out 2 days a week. He cries when I leave but only for a minute. He is wearing 18 month shirts, but he can still wear some of his 6 month pants because his little waist is so tiny. They are a little short on him though.
We had a backyard camping party for his birthday. Grant had a great time, but I'm pretty sure Jackson had the most fun.
Grant woke up early on his birthday so we let him open 1 gift before big brother could take over.
