WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES
We woke up this morning to rain and it continued to rain ALL DAY LONG. These days are by far the hardest because Jackson is so active. He isn't bad, just really REALLY active. It is difficult to keep him entertained all day. So below are lots of pictures and a play by play of our day.
First, lets check in with sweet Baby Grant. He was settling down for his morning nap.
Cheese!
While Jack was painting Grant was doing this......
I even let Jack paint pears and a cup.....I was desperate to make this painting activity last!
Next we decided to make cupcakes. Things got off to a rough start as you can see. For some reason he kept eating the dry cake mix....yuck! Yes, that is a large amount of paint on his elbow and he is wearing an apron....
Daddy showing Jack how to use the mixer.
"I do it!"
Lets check in with Grant again......what an angel.
The fun begins...he did a good job decorating. So precise.
We were going to take these around to the neighbors, but then I discovered he had stuck his finger in or licked every cupcake. Yum!
The finished product. Martha Stewart would be proud.
Here is a good shot of the whole outfit. Apron, Jackson belt and rain boots.
Watching Sesame Street...he never ate the cupcake. I think he was full from snacking while he baked. I mean, who wouldn't want a chocolate cupcake with red hots and jellybeans?!?!
After all the excitement was done and it was time to nap, guess who woke up? G-Man.
Marshall took this picture. He wants to show how much Jack and Grant look alike as infants.
To sum it up, Jack took a short nap and by bedtime Marshall and I were beat. These are two quotes from Marsh that I want to document:
"Staying home is hard!"
"This is a lot of work"
Yes. It. Is.
As I type this I have one of those yummy cupcakes and a very small glass of wine. Heaven.
Love,
Leah

You are so funny!!!! Who would have thought cupcakes and wine would be a good mix? So good to see you two the other day.
uhm this might be hands down the funniest post I've ever read.. EVER. Glad baby G is doing well and sleeping.. so hard on week 3 when they WAKE UP.. keep me posted on how it's all going! Thanks for entertaining me today.. I wish they would invent shots of sleep - injectable sleep, ahh that would be nice. I need it on a day like today.
